Amphibian Surveys,Licence and mitigation measures

The Naturally wild team have recently completed work at the WRSC site in Manchester as part of the construction of a new multi-million pound redevelopment.

Naturally Wild undertook detailed site surveys including Great Crested Newt surveys on ponds located within the site and in the surrounding area. As a result a DEFRA licence was successfully applied for in 2004.

The work undertaken over a four year period included trapping, exclusion fencing, translocation of amphibians, general ecological surveys, nesting bird surveys, habitat enhancements, mitigation, pond clearance and Japanese Knotweed treatment.

All work was completed by Naturally Wild's own in house team.
