Habitat Surveys

  • PDF

Naturally Wild Consultants conduct initial scoping surveys, ecological and protected species risk assessments in-line with the standard extended Phase 1 survey guidelines in order to locate potential constraints at an early stage in the development process. This is an important factor in reducing unnecessary time delays as several species, including bats and Great Crested Newts, have restricted survey periods. Commencing such surveys too late in the season may delay a project for up to 12 months.

From completion of a Phase 1 survey or an ecological risk assessment, we are able to use our professional skills and experience to determine if other surveys are likely to be required in order to satisfy the statutory consultees and your planning department.

We offer a range of habitat assessments including:

  • Phase 1 Habitat Surveys
  • Scoping surveys
  • Ecological and protected species risk assessments
  • Hedgerow surveys
  • Invasive plant species surveys
  • Full National Vegetation Classification surveys
