Addressing the ecological impact of a project is now a mandatory part of complying with guidelines issued by Local Authorities in accordance with Planning Policy Statement 9 (PPS9) and enforced by statutory bodies such as:

- DEFRA
- Scottish Natural Heritage
- Countryside Commission for Wales
NWC successfully consult on the ecology for in excess of £1.0bn of projects annually. Our mission statement is:
"We will not make a research project out of a development site"
By this we mean we make intelligent interpretation of our scientific findings and combine it with 10 years' experience in delivering ecology for our clients.
